Capturing this beautiful location is no small feat — with 75 opulent Villas, a private restaurant on the jetty, and even an uber-luxe Superyacht, it’s all too easy to become overwhelmed by the sprawling private estates that make the Royal RESERVE so iconic. However, as the owner of Liquid Ambient Stephen Seifert shared with us, a digital twin was the perfect tool to capture the property in all its glory.

What inspired the 3D capture of this space?
The capture of this extraordinary property was part of an extensive production project in which we captured all seven types of villas located at the five-star, luxury Royal RESERVE resort in the Maldives.
What are the “must-sees” you want visitors to explore and why?
The master bedroom with adjoining outdoor jacuzzi, private gym, and private spa is a real highlight of this reserve. This is a must-see because it is a dimension of space that most of us rarely get to see — and many probably don't have the budget to book such a property. The private restaurant on the jetty is also a real eye-catcher!
What’s the one thing you want visitors to take away after exploring your 3D tour?
Besides the WOW-effect of exploring this 3D tour, visitors should get a realistic impression of these unique and sprawling private estates, as they’re mostly booked by wealthy families or celebrities who both value their privacy very much.
What are the benefits of Matterport digital twins?
Impressive graphics, easy-to-navigate, and an absolutely realistic idea of what to expect when booking a luxury resort, as in this case.
This is not like a static image where everything is put into exactly the right light, but instead, it’s the resort just as the owner would like to show it. This is absolutely authentic and the user decides how to move through the property and what they want to see at what time. No filters, no highlights, no retouching, just the real thing! I love it.
Do you have any plans to capture more 3D experiences?
We have been capturing luxury resorts and cruise ships for many years now. And thanks to our current order situation, we'll probably be allowed to do that for quite a while! We're very grateful for that, especially in times like these. Nevertheless, we will increasingly expand our productions in the industrial sector worldwide. Just last month, we captured two large company sites in the USA from one of our German clients, and more of their worldwide sites are yet to come.
